Standard rivets are blind rivets with a breaking mandrel. They are designed to join two pieces, whether of the same or different material, especially in applications where only one side is accessible. They are a tamperproof, uniformly set fastener which does not shake out or break off.
Blind rivets are the fastest way to join materials. The assembly is inserted into a hole drilled through the parts to be joined and a specially designed tool is used to draw the mandrel into the rivet. This expands the blind end of the rivet and then the mandrel snaps off. Rivets do not loosen once installed because the rivet body is as large or larger than the hole it’s put in.
Standard Blind Rivets are used in many Industries including; Automotive, Bodyworks, Commercial Vehicle, Electronics, Air Conditioning and Heating, Construction, Metal works e.t.c.
Dome Head Rivets are the most common and simplest to use. They are the most versatile type of head, which provides enough bearing surface to retain all kinds of materials, except those extremely smooth and brittle.
