Product Description
Repair Washers are flat washers with a larger than standard outside diameter (OD) They are ideal for carrying out repairs where fasteners have pulled through. They are also commonly used to spread the load on thin sheet metal.
Galvanising adds a protective layer to the steel, giving a greater corrosion resistance and making them suitable for outdoor use. Due to the thicker plating only galvanised nuts and washers will fit galvanised bolts. Galvanised plating has a rough, dull grey finish.
They are also known as Penny Washers, Mudguard Washers or Fender Washers.
